Hugo Laporte

Since 1990, Hugo Laporte has been an artist and DJ/Producer. Following studies at fine art schools in Nîmes and Annecy (FR), as well as at the respective music conservatories, Hugo Laporte has participated in several group exhibitions in Paris (Palais des Beaux-Arts), London (Nicoletti contemporary), Geneva (Topic), Brussels (Komplot) and recently in Nîmes (FR) for the first contemporary art triennial alongside Katja Novitskova.
Hugo Laporte’s practice is hybrid, non-binary, experimental and sensitive. Sculptures, Music, Photography, Installations… Confrontation between high mid and low tech. Chosen or imposed collaborations with machines and technological tools (Artificial Intelligence, handmade 3D printing, DAW software, etc.), the proposals are varied and attempt to sow historical and identity confusion, thanks to a playful transarchaeological approach to media and forms.
