Jaana-Kristiina Alakoski

Jaana-Kristiina Alakoski (1992) received her BFA from Central Saint Martins (London) in
2018, and recently completed her MFA from the Royal Institute of Art (Stockholm). She is
currently based between Stockholm and London. Alakoski’s practice is rooted in
performance, sculpture, image making and installation. Across Alakoski’s artistic output is an
insistent processing of the semiotics of toxic ideologies, and their place in the individual
psyche. She explores the ethical self-contradictions and unethical desires of herself and her
context.
