Rafael Roncato
Brazil and the Netherlands. Roncato holds a Master's in Photography and Society from the
Royal Academy of Art, The Hague, and a Bachelor's in Multimedia Journalism. Inspired by
comics, cinema, and Brazilian modernism, Roncato employs non-linear methods and
multiple means of representation, incorporating video, text, and archival material in his works
to decode today's mass media landscapes and myths. His works have been exhibited at
numerous renowned international festivals and institutions. Roncato's photobook, Tropical
Trauma Misery Tour, won numerous prizes including 1st Prize at (Kassel) Dummy Award.
