FORMAT International Photography Festival

The international FORMAT Festival is organizing portfolio reviews, which will take place on Saturday 25 March 2017 in Derby. The festival organizers have carefully selected more than 45 international experts in the field of photography to review for one day, and one of these experts is Marina Paulenka, the director of our festival Organ Vida. This is the biggest international portfolio review in the UK, so do not miss out on having your work seen by some of the most renowned figures in photography! Places are limited, so hurry!

Portfolio reviews are aimed at committed photographers with a developed and serious approach to their work, but also to recent graduates. Among numerous awards for participating photographers we wish to single out a £1 500 cash prize and the exhibition that will be organized in 2018.

Bookings will open 12pm (GMT) 7 February 2017, and you can apply here.

FORMAT 2017 launches on 23 March and the festival takes place from 24 March to 23 April 2017.

FORMAT International Photography Festival was established in 2004 and is the UK’s leading international contemporary festival of photography and related media. FORMAT organises year round programmes of international commissions, open calls, residencies, conferences and collaborations in the UK and Internationally. It is held biennially in more than 30 beautiful buildings and key landmarks in Derby, and in 2015 it had over 100 000 visitors from around the world.

FORMAT is directed by Louise Clements, last year’s Organ Vida jury member, and is organised by the art centre QUAD and the University of Derby.

You can find more information about the festival and the programme on the FORMAT official website.
